A Call Divert Workshop's goals are to:

• raise awareness of the dangers of using a mobile phone while driving.
• ensure all drivers understand the 'mobile phone' law.
• enable drivers to make educated decisions about phone usage when driving in future.

The Workshop will:

• provide a framework for discussion and debate.
• explain, with examples, the law regarding using a hand-held mobile phone while driving.
• show how using a hands-free or hand-held phone while driving affects driving decisions.
• analyse the circumstances surrounding a crash where the use of a mobile phone was a major contributory factor.
• look at the consequences of a crash to the driver, other road users and the community at large.
• offer some top tips for safer driving.

There is no pass or fail test. However, drivers must complete by attending the entire Workshop with an open mind and leave with an improved attitude.
